Workspace settings
Settings in the sidebar opens your own profile. The tabs across the top lead to everything else, and which tabs you see depends on your role:
| Tab | Who sees it | What's there |
|---|---|---|
| Profile | Everyone | Your email, your password, product update emails, and the dashboard and workflow builder tours |
| Workspace | Owners and managers | The workspace itself, described below |
| API Keys | Everyone | Keys for connecting other systems to SpatialFlow. See Authentication |
| Webhooks | Owners and managers | Addresses that SpatialFlow sends events to. See Webhooks |
| Billing | Owners and managers | The plan, payment methods and invoices. Only owners can change them |
| Usage | Owners and managers | Use of your plan's limits this billing period |
| Privacy | Owners | Permanent deletion of location and event records |
| Attributions | Everyone | Credits for the map data SpatialFlow uses |
Plans, billing and usage covers the Billing and Usage tabs, and Roles, audit log and SSO covers Privacy.
The Workspace tab
The Workspace tab is the same page as Team in the sidebar. Its sections:
| Section | Who can change it | What it controls |
|---|---|---|
| Workspace details | Owners and managers | The workspace name and contact email |
| Team Members | Owners and managers | Invitations, and who belongs to the workspace. See Invite your team |
| Support Configuration | Owners | Where Email Support and Slack Support in the help menu lead your members |
| Enterprise SSO | Owners | SAML single sign-on, on the Business and Enterprise plans |
| Display Preferences | Owners | The unit system and the workspace timezone |
| Map Home Area | Owners and managers | Where maps open when there is nothing else to show |
| Example data | Owners and managers | Removes the example device, geofences and workflow created at sign-up |
Field workers who open Team see the member list and nothing else.
Units and timezone
Under Display Preferences, the owner picks a Unit System, either Imperial (mi, mph, ft) or Metric (km, km/h, m), and a Timezone. Use detected fills in your browser's zone.
A new workspace starts with the timezone of the browser used to sign up. Check it before you run reports, because reports and geofence schedules without their own zone use it. If it's ever cleared, reports use UTC, and new geofence schedules take the zone of the browser they were created in.
Map home area
Maps open on the map home area when they have nothing more specific to show. To set it, open the live map, move the map to the area you work in, and choose Save current view as workspace home from the + button. Clear under Map Home Area removes it.
Remove the example data
A new workspace comes with an example device, one or two example geofences, and an example workflow, all labeled as examples and left out of live counts. When you're ready, click Remove examples under Example data and confirm. It deletes only the examples. Your own devices, geofences and workflows stay as they are.
